MVB REPEATER
■MVB REPEATER-U EMD is available in a ‘SINGLE’ (MVB REPEATER-U EMD SINGLE) and ‘REDUNDANT’ (MVB REPEATER-U EMD REDUNDANT) configurations.
■Both products are supplied in a small metal case and are available with two different fixing options: back fixing by a ‘DIN BAR’ (standard configuration) and front fixing by the lateral BRACKETs (option ‘FF’).
■In the ‘REDUNDANT’ configuration (MVB REPEATER-U EMD REDUNDANT) two identical Repeater Units work alternatively one each other in a ‘ping pong’ mode. The not active unit monitors the activities of the active unit.
■For both configurations, MVB REPEATER-U EMD is able to manages two lines of the same MVB Bus (and it executes an ‘automatic line Switch over’ when it detects some fails on one line, and an ‘automatic line Switch back’ when the fails are removed) or two lines of two different MVB busses (‘Bus merging’).
■MVB REPEATER-U EMD meets, and in some case overcome, the requirement of the IEC 61375-1 specification for the MVB bus Repeater devices (Section 3.3.3). Moreover it includes several enhanced features described in this document.
