DOT 5 Silicone Brake Fluid
●DOT 5 Silicone Brake Fluid (DOT V) is formulated for use in hydraulic brake systems. Unlike Dot 3 and Dot 4 Brake fluids, DOT 5 is hydrophobic and will not absorb water.
●DOT 5 Silicone Brake Fluid (DOT V) is composed of hydrophobic Polydimethylsiloxane (CAS# 63148‐62‐9) and Tributylphosphate (CAS# 126‐73‐ 8). Due the tributyl additive, DOT V has a bluish‐purplish appearance..
●DOT 5 Silicone Brake Fluid is identified by military symbol BFS and NATO code No. H‐547 and meets Mil –PRF‐46176.
●DOT 5 Silicone Brake Fluid provides corrosion protection and lubrication of the brake system components. In addition, it has a higher dry boiling point (260℃) and wet boiling point (180℃C) than conventional glycol‐based brake fluids. Clearco DOT 5 Silicone Brake Fluid will not damage paint as well.
