LP4032 High-Efficiency 2A Sensorless Switching Charger

●General Description
■The LP4032 is a standalone 1-cell switching battery charger providing up to 2A charge current to the battery from 4.1V to 6.2V input voltage. The charge current is programmable by a resistor connected from ISET to GND and the charge voltage is programmable by a resistor connected from VSET to GND. The charge can be enabled and disabled from ISET pin. The LP4032 operates at 1.2MHz switching frequency allowing a small-size 1uH inductor for 2A fast charging. The patent-protected integrated current sensing and control technique eliminates external sensing resistor and allows very high charge efficiency, low BOM cost and very small footprint. The LP4032 features high accuracy of precharge, fastcharge and end-of-charge termination current, which is competitive with the external-resistor-based current sensing and control architecture. The LP4032 is available in DFN33x3-10 package.
