ELI43-CR/ ELI43-CP Product Change Notification Form
●Reason for Change: In a continuous effort to provide customers with the best ELI experience possible, FDI has made two enhancements to the ELI43-CRand ELI-43CP.
●Detailed Description of Change:
◆Color enhancements: To improve the color chromaticity matching with ICC color profiles we have optimized the color values stored in our ELI EDID settings. Computers or SBC’s that support EDID will be able to read these values and obtain better color performance and matching with this new ELI update.
◆Backlight PWM Input enhancements: We recommended the use of a push-pull output to drive the ELI PWM input for backlight control. However, some customers who only have an open-collector (or open-drain) output available prefer to use this configuration if possible to drive the ELI backlight PWM input. To support these customers, we have optimized a pull up resistor value in the PWM input circuit to provide better square wave matching on the drive waveforms, especially at higher frequencies like 100 KHz.
■These changes are 100% backward compatible.
■For easy identification of EDID revisions on ELI units, FDI has added the EDID revision number to the block 2 display descriptor. This allows the customer to read and verify their EDID revision number at any time (please note that the EDID revision number is not the same as the top level ELI product revision Number).
