In recent years, with the exponential growth of Internet data, the traditional data center architecture has been greatly impacted. Hyperscale data centers with 10000 or even 100000 servers emerge as the times require. The flat two-layer spine leaf architecture is often adopted in the hyperscale data centers, as shown in the figure below.

This architecture requires a lot of high-speed optical fiber interconnection, and each leaf switch will be connected to each spine switch to provide low latency network between servers. How to manage so many backbone fiber systems efficiently will be a challenge.

In view of this situation, ROSENBERGER officially released Norma Plus UHD (Ultra High Density) modular fiber panel system for Asia Pacific market, which can solve this problem conveniently. The features of Norma Plus series products are as follows:


01 Achieve ultra-high density and increase the density by more than 100%

Currently, the high-density fiber panel commonly used in the market supports 96 cores per HU and supports 288 cores on 4HU. The Norma plus UHD launched by Rosenberger can achieve the following density, which greatly exceeds the density of optical panel on the market.

There are 4 layers of modules in 1U space with 48 cores in each layer, which can realize 192 core LC or 96 MTP / MPO ports.There are 16 layers of modules in 4U space with 48 cores in each layer, which can realize 768 core LC or 384 MTP / MPO ports.

For large cloud data centers, especially in the spine network distribution area, high density can effectively save cabinet space. More than 100% space saving means that the cost saving of data center promotes the improvement of return on investment of user data center.

02 Fully support 10G / 25G / 40G / 50G / 100G / 200G / 400G applications

In the application of large cloud data center, 10G/ 25 / 50G is mainly used in the access layer network, while 40G / 100G / 200 G / 400 G is mainly used in the core network, Norma plus UHD optical fiber distribution system can adopt 8-core / 12-core / 16-core / 24-core cassettes to realize flexible application of current network, fully support the following application data rates, and realize one-stop network intergenerational upgrade.

03 Convenient operation and maintenance

Norma plus UHD fiber panel system adopts multi-layer modular structure design. The operation and maintenance have fully considered the space for finger movement. Each module can be easily plugged and maintained with one hand. The supporting uniboot patchcord makes the cabling more tidy and beautiful.


The identification system is often one of the elements of the panel used for management and maintenance. There is enough space on the front panel of Norma plus UHD panel for pasting port identification. At the same time, The QR code on the panel can be matched with Rosenberger's cabling management software. After the app scans the QR code of the panel, the connection status of each port can be clearly traced on the software.
