Omnergy Brand CR-HT Wide Temperature Button Batteryy in TPMS Applications
TPMS is the short of Tire Pressure Monitoring System. It is a safety system installed on the vehicle that monitors tire pressure and alarms when it deviates. It is the third major legislative safety product for automobiles after ABS and airbags.
Car tire pressure monitoring uses sensors installed on the vehicle's tires to measure the air pressure inside the tires and transmit the data to the vehicle's dashboard or other display devices. The tire pressure monitoring system can provide accurate tire pressure information and help drivers detect tire leaks or abnormal tire pressure in time to ensure vehicle safety and performance. Abnormal tire pressure will affect the car's braking effect, cause tire blowouts and even cause traffic accidents. If a fault occurs during the operation of the automobile TPMS equipment, it will pose a great threat to the safe driving of the automobile.

In TPMS applications, the battery and sensor are packaged together and installed inside the tire. Convert the tire pressure signal into an electrical signal and transmit the signal through a wireless transmitter. Therefore, how to ensure that TPMS equipment can operate normally in various environments is an urgent issue, which also places very high demands on batteries.

TPMS battery requirements
Generally speaking, since TPMs work in the outdoor environment, the environmental conditions will become quite harsh under the wind, sun, rain and snow. In addition, any acceleration, deceleration and turning behavior of the vehicle will cause tire damage. Friction with the ground generates heat. TPMS batteries often work in environments with unstable high and low temperatures, requiring batteries to withstand both high and low temperatures. At the same time, because the tires absorb road vibrations and centrifugal force during tire rolling, it is easy to cause battery leakage and cause battery failure. Therefore, TPMS batteries also need to be able to withstand vibration and centrifugal force.
Fig.3 So how "high temperature resistant" and "low temperature resistant" should a TPMS battery be?
The vast majority of batteries store and release (discharge) electrical energy through electrochemical reactions, and chemical reactions often have high temperature requirements. The range of traditional button batteries -30 to 70 degrees cannot meet the temperature requirements of TPMS. , the operating temperature of the battery needs to be extended to -40~125 degrees or even higher, which is a great test of the technical capabilities of battery manufacturers.

Wide temperature range: HT batteries and ordinary CR batteries are two products with different systems and structures. HT batteries use power glory's unique material system and manufacturing process, which enables the batteries to have superior characteristics in ultra-high temperature fields. This series of batteries can be used in environments ranging from -40℃ to 125℃, with long-lasting battery life, safety and stability.
Resistant to vibration and centrifugal force: Compared with the conventional CR series, the HT battery's unique battery structure and professional leakage drainage technology have stronger resistance to vibration and extrusion, which can protect the battery from moving when the tire is running at high speed, does not break, does not suffer any damage, and is a trustworthy source of power.
Excellent storage characteristics: Power Glory HT batteries use highly stable chemical materials to prepare active materials and electrolytes in the battery. At the same time, they use unique packaging technology. The self-discharge rate at normal temperature is only 1%, allowing the battery to last for a long time. Preservation of time.
