HOSIDEN has launched mass production and shipment of the HRM1079 Bluetooth Low Energy Module, which adopts the Nordic nRF 52832 WLCSP package. To meet the miniaturization requirements of beacon terminals, the occupied area of the board is now minimized to 45% of that of the Nordic nRF 52832 QFN package used in the HRM 1062 BLE. Thanks to its high-performance antenna with settings for optimum output power dictated by the application software, the module can achieve both a wide communication range and low power consumption, in addition to reducing the design load on the customer's high-frequency circuitry. Moreover, the HRM1079 has a built-in 32 kHz sub-clock and a DC / DC converter so that the IC can operate at low power, with support for the LE 2M PHY implementation added in Bluetooth 5.0, it is possible to communicate at twice the transmission speed of Bluetooth 4.2 or earlier modules.


With these features, the HRM1079 Bluetooth® 5.0 Compatible Module is highly versatile not only for general consumer products such as in smartphone accessories but also for wireless sensors and beacon terminals in the IoT / IoE market, which is expected to see rapid growth in the near term. In addition, the HRM1079 has received radio frequency certification under modular equipment conditions, based on the provisions of Japan, the United States, and Canada, while for Europe, test reports can be provided. This simplifies the authentication work required for customers to sell their products and facilitates easier global deployment.
