SLKOR SLSS41F-9 Hall Switch Sensor: The Ideal Choice for High-performance Magnetic Field Sensing
The SLSS41F Hall Effect Bipolar Sensor is a high-performance sensor designed specifically for automotive and industrial applications. This sensor utilizes high-voltage bipolar technology, allowing it to operate within a wide range of supply voltages, from 3.8V to 60V, to meet the requirements of different application scenarios. The SLSS41F is available in two packages: SOT23 and TO-92S. The TO-92S package, specifically the SLSS41F-9 variant, will be discussed today. In the TO-92S package, applying a magnetic field greater than Bop (near the south pole) to the sealing surface will result in a low output, while applying a magnetic field less than Brp (near the north pole) will result in a high output. When the chip is powered on for the first time, if the magnetic field is between Bop and Brp, the output state will be undefined (either high or low). The SOT23-3L package has the opposite polarity for the operating and release points compared to the TO-92S package. Please refer to the diagram below for more details.
The SLSS41F-9 is a Hall effect sensor that can sense magnetic fields perpendicular to its surface and convert changes in magnetic field into voltage signals for output. This sensor has full polarity capability, meaning it can detect both positive and negative magnetic fields, giving it greater flexibility in practical applications. With a working voltage range of up to 60V, the SLSS41F-9 is suitable for various industrial and automotive electronic systems. Additionally, it has a relatively low operating current of 7mA, which effectively reduces energy consumption and heat generation, improving system efficiency.
The SLSS41F-9 has several outstanding features that make it suitable for automotive and harsh industrial environments. These include short-circuit protection with open-drain output, which protects itself and the connected circuit when the sensor detects a short-circuit event. This design prevents current overload and protects the sensor and other related equipment from potential damage. It also has a wide operating temperature range, from -40℃ to 150℃, making it suitable for various high and low-temperature environments, including automotive and industrial applications under high and low-temperature conditions.
In industrial automation control systems, the SLSS41F-9 can be used to detect parameters such as the position, speed, and direction of objects. This sensor can output corresponding voltage signals by sensing changes in the surrounding magnetic field, enabling object detection. Additionally, it can be used as a feedback sensor for motor controllers to detect the position and speed of the motor rotor, enabling closed-loop control. In the field of automotive electronics, the SLSS41F-9 can be applied to steering control, brake systems, and electric drive systems in vehicles. For example, in the vehicle's steering control system, this sensor can be used to detect the rotation angle and direction of the steering wheel. In the vehicle's brake system, the SLSS41F-9 can be used to detect the wheel speed and direction, enabling anti-lock and stability control. In electric drive systems, this sensor can be used to detect the position and speed of the motor rotor, enabling closed-loop control of the motor controller.
In addition to the SLSS41F-9, SLKOR also offers a wide range of high-performance and excellent Hall sensor products such as SLSS360-3, SLSS49E-3, SL-322B, SLOH49E-9, SLSS451A-9, SL1603SH, SL1623SH, and so on. These sensors can meet the market demand for low-power and high-performance sensors. SLKOR Semiconductor will continue to drive innovation and development in electronic products.
