Nanochap Launches Ultra-Low Power 6-in-1 Analog Front-end Biosignal Detection Chip - Nine Senses BAF003
Nanochap, a biochip developer, recently announced a new product in the Nine Senses series: an ultra-low-power analog front-end (AFE) chip designed for collecting physiological signals, the BAF003 (Figure 1 BAF003 Chip Physical Diagram). This Ultra-Low Power 6-in-1 Analog Front-end Biosignal Detection chip can provide a high-precision monitoring solution for wearable products that continuously monitor a variety of health parameters, including electrocardiogram (ECG), electromyogram (EMG), pulse rate (PPG), body temperature, bioimpedance (BioZ), biomarkers, and so on, which is called a 6-in-1 analog front-end.

II. Introduction to the system
The BAF003 chip integrates a one-way two-stage programmable amplifier, a 16-bit high-precision ADC, two transimpedance amplifiers, a bio-impedance detection module, a high-precision temperature sensor, and a digital controller (including memory circuits such as FIFOs). The maximum gain of the amplifier is up to 120x, and the common mode rejection ratio reaches 130dB. the ADC sampling speed is up to 2kHz, and the bias voltage accuracy of the two transimpedance amplifiers is 10-bit. the BAF003 has a very low power consumption of less than 100nA during sleep, less than 4μA in standby, and about 30μA when the ADC is turned on to continuous sampling, making it very suitable for wearable daily monitoring programs.

IV. Scope of application
BAF003 can be widely used in wearable devices to monitor heart rate, blood oxygen, blood pressure, body temperature, ECG parameters, EMG parameters, EEG parameters, and bio-impedance with high precision to manage related chronic diseases, and also can be used as an electrochemical sampling chip to measure a variety of biomarkers in body fluids.BAF003 provides a high-precision and ultra-low-power solution for continuous monitoring of wearable medical products or consumer products. Low power consumption solution for continuous monitoring of wearable medical products or consumer products.
