RX MCU with TSIP contributes to enhancing the security of customer products. And IAR Systems/Secure Thingz solution ensures security from software development to manufacturing and it makes the development easier and faster.
IAR Systems/Secure Thingz solution provides the security development tools Embedded Trust and C-Trust, which are integrated with the C/C++ compiler and debugger toolchain IAR Embedded Workbench. In addition, the solution provides a Secure Desktop Provisioner Platform, for secure prototyping.
The key to a secure development workflow is the part of creating and incorporating Secure Boot Manager (SBM). SBM is incorporated as part of a robust Root of Trust. The information managed by the SBM is encrypted during provisioning and securely stored on RX MCU with TSIP. This process prevents tampering and compromise by access to application code or malware. In addition, it is also possible to prevent cloning or counterfeiting by stealing the contents of the device during manufacturing. These complex procedures can be realized by combining Embedded Trust, C-Trust, and Secure Desktop Provisioner. In addition, the required security context, SBM settings, and security information can be easily set with a checkbox in the IAR Embedded Workbench IDE, and it is possible to cover from small prototyping to volume production.
