KODENSHI Launched A Slim Type Low Cost Photo Interrupter Applied to Printers and Copiers
AUE Co. Ltd., a company specializing in optical sensors in KODENSHI Group, has launched a slim type low cost photo interrupter that can be applied to various fields such as printers and copiers. This sensor is a high-performance transmissive type Photo Interrupter product composed of high-power GaAs Infra-red LED and high-sensitivity Si Photo Transistor.
The main purpose is to detect the presence or absence of paper inside the printer and to detect various locations of equipment. It is implemented as a PCB Direct Mouting Type. When it is combined by adding a fixing pin to the body of the sensor, it prevents shaking and enables more accurate and precise fastening.
Additionally, it is a low-cost developed product with a smaller size compared to competitors' 5mm gap sensors released in the existing market, and it is expected to increase its competitiveness in the market.
This product has been adopted in the printer division of a global company. AUE Co. Ltd. are investing in facility expansion to establish a mass production system. AUE Co. Ltd. plans to actively expand sales so that this new product can be applied to various fields in the future.
