●KODENSHI has established a total pruduction system where all processe from the design and development of optical semiconductors to the wafer process and final assembly.
●Infrared range finding sensor based on triangulation method
■This sensor outputs a voltage value according to distance to an object. With the triangulation method, the sensor can detect distance to a person or an object without being affected by color or reflectance. The sensor is useful to detect steps in vacuum robots, human body in toilets and office equipment, and non-contact switch operation.
●Sensors detecting the presence/absence, position, and passage of objects.
■Categorized into 2 types, transmissive or reflective photointerrupters, the transmissive type detects the presence or absence, and the position of an object when the object blocks the light emitted from the emitter (LED) and detected by the detector on the opposite side.
■On the other hand, in the reflective type, the emitter and detector are placed on the same surface, detecting the presence or absence, and the position of an object by the reflected light from the object.
●Sensors reading information from light.
■Light has a variety of information such as wavelength, temperature, and timing period. By receiving light with photodetectors and obtaining the values, KODENSHI can read such information from light. KODENSHI has, as examples, ambient light sensors detecting ambient brightness, color sensors measuring the color of objectʼs surface, Ultraviolet sensors. These detecting sensors provides you with a variety of environmental information.
