  • How do I remove signal images from the display of the PSA Series Spectrum Analyzer (E4440A, E4446A, E4448A)? Can the true signal be identified without removing images?

    The PSA has two signal identification methods, image shift and image suppression. The image shift method moves the signals and images by twice the IF/harmonic number. The display responses that do not move are true signals. The second method is the image suppression method which removes the images from the display leaving only true signals. This method works well for stable signals.
