- The si890x sample speed is higher than its communication speed. For si8900, the datasheet-specified baud rate is 234kbps, but AN635 discusses the automatic baud rate synchronization algorithm which can sync to as high as 520kbps. The data rate can be increased up to 50k sample per second rate if the SPI port is used, which run as fast as 2.5 Mbps.
