The Chem-Gard® 200 RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) Cable is a high-temperature and chemical-resistant cable designed for control and instrumentation applications. It is capable of withstanding a maximum conductor temperature of 200°C (392°F). This cable operates based on the basic correlation between metals and temperature, where the change in resistance of the detector element is calibrated with temperature. It features a braided shield with a fluoropolymer jacket, providing excellent chemical, abrasion, and high heat resistance. The cable is engineered to resist high temperatures, chemicals, and offers features like finely stranded nickel-plated copper conductors, specially compounded fluoropolymer insulation, and a nickel-plated copper braid shield with drain wire and spiral-wrapped skived PTFE tape for enhanced protection against chemicals, oils, acids, solvents, and lubricating oils.
