The Kinetrol Model LB Dashpot is a rotary damper designed for applications requiring adjustable damping rates. It features a maximum adjustable rate of 3,500 in-lb/rad/sec (400 Nm/rad/sec) and an angle of travel of 240° ± 5°. The dashpot is equipped with external end stops and has a maximum safe torque of 1400 lbf.ins/ 160 Nm. It is suitable for ambient temperature ranges from 32° to 140°F and has a typical frictional torque of 5 lbf.ins / 0.5 Nm. The shaft is made of stainless steel 441S49, and the body is made of zinc alloy Ilzro 16. The dashpot is available in various damping rate options and can be ordered with differential rate (FC or FAC) or double damping (DD) features. It is distributed through Efdyn, Incorporated.
