The Scan® 300 is an automatic colony counter designed for food microbiology environments such as PCA, VRBG, and MRS. It features a stainless steel body, CMOS color camera, and M12 lens with a zoom of x28. The resolution is 1 megapixel, and it uses white LED lighting technology with a dark field. The lighting system includes automatic 6 combinations with top and/or bottom light and white or black background. It supports multiple languages including French, English, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Spanish, and German. The counting time is up to 1000 colonies per second, with a minimum colony size of 0.1 mm. It offers manual control for adding or subtracting colonies and can count Petri dishes with diameters from 55 to 90 mm. It also supports pour plating, surface plating, Spiral® plating, and circle plating. The system automatically separates clustered colonies and creates polygonal exclusion zones. Results and traceability include image, sample number, comments, date, and time. Data can be exported to PDF reports, jpg, png, or bmp images, and Excel™ recountable sessions. It has USB connectivity and is compatible with dataLink™ or dataLink™ pro traceability systems. The product is designed and made in France and complies with 21 CFR part 11, ISO 7218, and AOAC 977.27 standards.
