The Model SSD120-100N-SDR from Trans-Cal Industries, Inc. is a solid-state Serial Data Repeater designed to expand a single RS-232 input into up to ten RS-232 compliant outputs. This device is intended for transmitting serial data to multiple aircraft systems in a compact form factor. It addresses the limitation of RS-232 to one receiver per driver by providing additional data distribution. Key features include dual RS-232 data inputs and/or one RS485 input, ten RS-232 output ports, configurable output grouping, and compliance with FAA TSO-C88a and EASA ETSO-C88a standards. It also meets MIL-STD-704E and RTCA DO-160E testing requirements. The unit is powered via an industry-standard 25-pin D-Subminiature connector and controlled by jumpers on a 15-pin D-Subminiature connector.
