MC2 Storm Lashing

The MC2 Storm Lashing is a polyester webbing tie-down developed in response to customer requests for a secure method to tie down the EH101 Merlin Helicopter to the deck of a ship. It features a fast single-action, over-center mechanism for tension and locking, as well as a quick release mechanism. The webbing is treated to resist abrasion and sunlight, and the mechanical components are made of replaceable corrosion-resistant steel for durability. The unit includes a web tidy for compact storage and has a patented mechanism. It has been adopted by the Royal Navy and is designed for loads up to 10,000lb with an ultimate load capacity of 15,000lb. It is lightweight and reduces the need for heavy chain-based restraints.
