tethaPlate(Model SDx-T10)

The SDx tethaPlate™ (SDx-T10) is a 6-chamber sample cartridge compatible with tethaPod™ (SDx-R1) and tethaPatch™ (SDx-R2) systems for the study of ion channel membrane proteins. It is designed to hold phospholipid bilayers above a gold electrode using a molecular tether system. Each chamber contains a pair of gold electrodes, with the lower electrode pre-coated for phospholipid addition. The tethaPlate is assembled using an Assembly Jig (SDx-A1) and a Phospholipid Mixture (SDx-S1) to form the bilayer membrane. The system is suitable for housing a wide variety of membrane proteins, particularly ion channels, and is used for experiments involving parallel ion channels.
