Strain Gage Chain SGC-01

The Strain Gage Chain SGC-01 is a spliceless chain of several fiber optic Strain Gages in series. These Strain Gages are the fiber optic equivalent of electrical strain gages. The Strain Gages can be mounted directly on the surface of a structure by means of an adhesive. The sensors are produced using a draw tower production process which gives the fibers a very high strength, ensuring excellent fatigue behavior. The Strain Gage Chain can be entirely configured according to customer needs, including the number of sensors and the intermediate sensor distances. It has a connector at both ends for series configurations and a protective tubing over its entire length, omitting the tubing at sensor positions for direct attachment to the surface to be measured.
