The MIC5011 is a compact and efficient MOSFET driver IC designed for high-side or low-side switching applications. It operates from a voltage range of 4.75V to 32V and features a low standby current of less than 1 µA. The internal charge pump allows driving the gate of an N-Channel Power FET above the supply voltage, and it is available in a small outline SOIC package. The device includes an internal Zener clamp for gate protection and requires minimal external components. It can be used to boost drive to low-side Power FETs operating on logic supplies and offers a typical turn-on time of 25 µs with optional external capacitors. The MIC5011 is suitable for applications such as lamp drivers, relay and solenoid drivers, and heater switching.
