Active High-Impedance Injector for Head Amplifier of V2002 Spinstand

2025-03-16
The Guzik active high-impedance injector is designed for measuring frequency response and calibrating low-impedance current-sensitive head amplifiers. It also allows for evaluating the performance of the head-amplifier heater driver. The injector converts single-ended signals from network analyzers or signal generators into differential signals and attenuates the signal level for connection to a head amplifier. It operates as a current source due to its high output impedance of 1280 Ohm. The injector has a bandwidth from DC to 3 GHz and provides a differential output signal with high symmetry in frequency response and group delay. It includes a bypass biasing circuitry for compatibility with most commercial amplifiers. The injector features a three-pin heater-driver connector for connecting external devices like oscilloscopes or load simulating the heating element of a head.
