Jowat®408.48 Primer
■Free of halogens and toluene, fluid, easy to apply, dries fast.
■The viscosity of the product may change during storage due to chemical reactions of the ingredients which are beyond control. The speed of this process depends on the actual storage conditions (e.g. pressure, temperatures, etc.).
■Therefore, we recommend that the product's processability be verified before use.
■Contains UV tracer.
■Stir well before use.
■After evaporation of the solvents, Jowat® 408.48 meets IOS-MAT-0066.
■Apply with gravure or foam rubber roller, in a thin and even layer. An application of 5 – 10 g/m² (dry) has shown good results in the field.
■Uneven or too thick application as well as the use of insufficiently stirred material (sedimentation) will lead to flawed bonding.
■Before primer application, it is imperative that polypropylene (PP) undergo a new corona treatment. In order to achieve good adhesion results, it is necessary to add 3 – 5 % of Jowat® Crosslinking Agent 498.00/07. Process the mixture within the pot life duration. Please observe that higher concentrations of crosslinking agent as well as higher product temperatures may reduce the pot life.
■Roll coated substrates only after complete drying.
■The processing temperature of the primer and of the materials to be coated should be between 15 and 25 °C.

▲At 20 °C with e.g. 5 % Jowat®
▲Crosslinker 498.00/07 [h]: max. 2 (shorter at higher temperatures)
■Appearance: colorless turbid
▲under UV light: blue
■Key data measured according Jowat test methods.
