Syrlinks first X-band transmitter selected by Astroscale for ELSA-M mission
●The ELSA-M servicer will provide a solution to capture and de-orbit multiple clients satellites per servicer safely and responsibly in a single mission and will be the first to demonstrate this capability.
●For this project, Astroscale has elected the EWC28 solution from Syrlinks. The EWC28 comes as X-Band transmitter especially designed for mini and micro satellite. It authorizes to establish communication link between the satellite and the ground station to recover all the telemetry data as required for the mission. One key advantage of the EWC28 has been the capability to operate in the Deep Space frequency band implementing advanced signal filtering. This product comes as a very proven design with key heritage: the very first models have been developed for the Proba-V ESA (European Space Agency) mission in 2010 and since, more than 50 flight models have been used in different.
