Integration of Melexis Corbeil into the global Melexis environmental system based on ISO 14001
■The Melexis Environmental Policy acts as a red line throughout our organization and is a fundamental basis of sustainable processes. By that it expresses what we stand for as a company and highlights those areas where we want to contribute both to our customer’s success as well as to a sustainable environment.
■Based on the requirements of the latest ISO 14001 revision Melexis has established an environmental management system that is compliant accordingly. In addition to the fact that our locations in Erfurt, Ieper, Sofia and Tessenderlo are certified to the ISO 14001 all other relevant Melexis locations are integrated accordingly and following the same global harmonized processes.
■Now, we like to confirm that our Melexis location in Corbeil is integrated in the global environmental system even without 3rd party certification.
■The integration into the environmental systems includes besides others following main topics:
▲Ensure compliance to relevant local environmental legislations
▲Integration into the yearly global audit program
▲Continuous improvement based on the environmental aspects assessment
▲Ensure environmental awareness of employees
▲Fulfill product related environmental requests (e.g. IMDS, Conflict minerals)
▲Monitor environmental process efficiency and effectiveness to ensure compliance and improvements
▲Cross-functional activities to ensure state-of-the-art methods aiming environmental sustainability by minimizing fails, waste and emission's.
■Finally, we commit herewith ourselves to ensure a compliant environmental system valid for all relevant Melexis locations.
