■There might be code-breaking changes between the releases. You might need to adjust your code or settings to get it to work again. Please check the change log for details and test from the temporary directory before installing the new version!

Each sensor module includes a multitude of these chips, and each chip can measure 3D displacement individually. Soft elastomer ensures that the sensor is highly resilient to overloading, which makes uSkin very durable. Another feature that the soft skin adds to the sensor is the ability to conform to the object your robotic solution is trying to grasp. The outer shell serves the purpose of protection but can be modified for different applications. uSkin makes it possible to grasp objects with a human-like sense of touch, providing you with a precise, sensitive and overall more reliable grasping solution.

The upcoming uSkin AI Software and the uSkin App will bring additional features such as slip detection, grasp success prediction, tactile object recognition, and many more to benefit the user. Our complete software solution will be available by the end of 2023 and operable with the uSkin App to improve the overall experience and ease of use. In particular, the following functions will be included in the software supplied with the sensor: -Grasping Features Grasping with Set Force/Pressure Grasp Success Recognition Slip Detection Re-grasping Suggestions for Unstable Grasps Self Learning -Tactile Object Recognition Detect Object Stiffness (upcoming) Detect Object Weight (upcoming) Detect Object Texture (upcoming) Detect Object Adhesion (upcoming) -Calibration Options XELA Robotics currently offers two options for calibration.
