E51 120 VAC Three-Wire N.O. And N.C. Composition Switch Body - Accepts E51 Plug-In Logic Module

2022-11-28
■Introduction
●File E51 Sensors are comprised of three modular components, easily assembled to form a complete device. The components consist of a solid state plug-in switch, a wiring receptacle, and a sensor head.
●Any E51 Inductive Proximity, Photoelectric or Fiber Optic Sensor Head may be used with the E51SCN Switch Body, allowing easy installation and modification of switch function and sensing characteristics. The switch body plugs into Eaton’s E51RCB Wiring Receptacle, and connections to the line and loads are made according to the diagram below.
●The E51SCN solid state switch has both normally open and normally close (N.O. & N.C) outputs (refer to wiring diagram below). Two loads may be connected at the same time. To connect one load, wire only the desired output terminal. Factory-installed light emitting diodes (LEDs) signify switch closure for N.O. and N.C
●When line voltage is first applied to the E1SCN switch, both N.O. and N.C. outputs will be open and both LEDs will be off. At the end of this “time to availability” period, the outputs will be open or closed, as determined by the signal from the sensor head, or the logic module
●The switch body and logic modules are sealed to protect against contamination. P18500 describes availability E51 plug-in logic modules, compatible with the E51SCN switch body
●The electrical specifications listed below indicate the ability of the E51SCN switch body to directly control electro mechanical loads within the ratings specified, and also provide a direct input to programmable controller input modules or hard wired solid state logic devices. No loading resistors are required.
