●Functions and operating modes
■The gateway connects the excom modules to the Ethernet fieldbus system. The gateway handles all process data traffic and generate diagnostic informa-tion for the higher-level control system. In addition to the standardized diagnoses, the device transfers manufacturer-specific error codes.
■The gateway features an integrated Ethernet switch that can be used to implement ring topologies via DLR (Device Level Ring) and MRP (Media Redundancy Protocol).
■The gateway supports 10/100 Mbps, full/half duplex, autonegotiation and autocross
