■INTRODUCTION
●This document describes the first generation security solutionbased on SecurityCommand Class(S0) that provides confidentiality and message integrity for the Z-Wave network. The term S0 is used to distinguish the Security Command Class from the Security 2 Command Class (S2). S2 supersedes S0. Compared to S0, S2 features stronger key exchange, stronger authentication, lower communication overhead and multicast support.
