●Title: Si84xx ISOpro Availability of Errata-free, Full Production Revisions and Recommended Ordering Part Numbers for New Designs
●Description of Changes: Silicon Labs is pleased to announce the full production release of errata-free revisions of all members of the Si84xx ISOpro family of 2.5 kVrms and 1 kVrms digital isolators.
●Previous revisions (A and C) will continue to be supported in production for existing designs and customers.
●The new production revisions (B and D) are strongly recommended for all new designs and production volumes.
●Pricing for the new B and Drevisions is unchanged from the previous A and Crevisions.
●Reason for Change: This PCN is being issued due to the full production release of errata-free silicon which is now strongly recommended for all new customer designs and production volumes. The previous revisions will continue to be supported for existing customer designs. Customers are strongly encouraged to migrate to revisions (B and D)to take advantage of the benefits of these newer revisions.
●Impact on Form, Fit, Function, Quality, & Reliability:
●Form & Fit impacts: All devices listed in the updated Ordering Guide tables in the datasheets are package and pinout compatible with the previous revisions.
●Functional impacts: Revisions B & D change and correct the enable pin functionality (i.e.the outputs will now go into the high-impedance state to match the legacy isolator products).
●Quality and Reliability impacts: Revisions B & D eliminate the power supply ramp up time and latch up immunity errata.See the datasheets for more details.See Description of Changes section above for datasheet specification change information.
