●Title: Improved MSL performance for Si84xx Isolation Products in Narrow Body Packages/Datasheet Rev 1.2
●Description of Change: Silicon Laboratories is pleased to announce improved MSL performance for our Pb-free Si84xx devices to support J-STD-020 MSL2A reflow profiles for all Narrow Body Packages (NB SOIC 8 and NB SOIC 16).Previously these devices were shipping as MSL3.
All products shipped after the effective date of this PCN will be labeled to reflect the improved MSL2A level.All 2.5kV and 1.0kV variants of the Si84xx isolators shipping in Narrow Body packages (NB SOIC 8 and NB SOIC 16) will be affected by this change.
In addition, the Si84xx datasheets have been revised to version 1.2 to detail the MSL performance improvement.
●Reason for Change: Improve moisture sensitivity levels for narrow-body isolators.
●Impact on Form, Fit, Function, Quality, Reliability:There isno change to the form, fit or function.No change was made to the existing BOM. No changes are required for PCB layout or manufacture.This announcement is adding support for MSL2A to all Narrow Body Packages but all existing designs can continue to be used with no changes required.
