Easy-form™ Closed Cell Backer Rod is based on non-crosslinked polyethylene foam produced in a continuous extrusion process. Easy-form™ Closed Cell Backer Rod is based on polyethylene (CAS No. 9002-88-4) and foamed with an aerosol propellant foam blowing agent.
Polyethylene foam will burn when provided with an adequate amount of heat and oxygen, therefore do not expose the material to any flame or other source of ignition or heat. Subject to reasonable care and cleanliness there are no obvious problems associated with the handling of polyethylene foams.
