PA-9 Series FLICKER Application Guide

2022-07-21
●Flicker is a very specific problem related to human perception to incandescent light bulbs. It is not a general term for voltage variations. The human eye can be very sensitive to light flicker that is caused by voltage fluctuations. A flicker curve has been developed based on the human eye response to the flickering of an incandescent light at 120V @ 60Hz and at 230V @ 50Hz. Both short term flicker (PST) as well as long term flicker (PLT) can be measured based on this curve. Short term flicker records flicker over 10 minute intervals, while long term flicker records flicker over 2 hour intervals.
