POPs, Persistent organic pollutants, such as pesticides and some industry chemicals, which can be transported across international boundaries far from their sources and persist in the environment, bio-accumulate through the food web, pose a risk to human health and the environment. Regulation (EC) No 850/2004 on POPshadentered into force in European Unionin 2004.
Würth Elektronik eiSos GmbH & Co.KG, as a supplier of electronic components, has been aware of the responsibilities for protecting the environment and human health. Since Regulation (EC) No 850/2004 was amended several times after its entry into force, we have always kept on tracking the update of prohibited substances and restricted substances listed in the POPs Regulation and verify the presence of any substance in our products.
Here we verify and announce that our products are in compliance with the POPs Regulation and don’t contain substances subject to prohibitions listed in Annex I to Regulation (EC) No 850/2004 and its amendments.
We continue to follow up the update of thePOPs regulation and ensure the conformity of our productswith the legislation.
