■Würth Elektronik ICS GmbH & Co. KG is manufacturer of electronic products, thus – in the sense of REACH - it is a so-called „downstream user“. The products we supply are solely non-chemical products (items). Furthermore and under normal and reasonably foreseeable use conditions, the items supplied shall not emit any substance. Consequently and in principle, Würth Elektronik ICS GmbH & Co. KG has neither registration duties nor any obligation to create material safety datasheets (MSDS)
■REACH - Registration and information duties in the supply chain in accordance with article 33 / SVHC
■All items supplied by Würth Elektronik ICS GmbH & Co. KG are – pursuant to the REACH regulation classified as products, thus not subject to registration duties.
■Solely substances and mixtures are used for production, whereof details prescribed in accordance with REACH (EU-MSDS) are available from sub-suppliers/ distributors.
■Above that, Würth Elektronik ICS GmbH & Co. KG assures to monitor and match updates of REACH requirements, especially supplements to the Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern for Authorization, REACH- Annex XIV and the entry of substances in REACH annexes with the substance information as outlined above.
■Würth Elektronik ICS GmbH & Co. KG will inform customers without particular request in the case that products supplied contain listed substances above the concentration of 0,1 % as specified pursuant to REACH.
■Würth Elektronik ICS GmbH & Co. KG points out that there is no legal obligation to provide statements far as the products supplied do not contain listed substances. Present statements are based on current knowledge and experience. We take neither liability nor warranty for factors beyond our knowledge and control.
■Independent of that fact, we are intensively pursuing the realization of REACH by our suppliers - in our own interest and to guarantee a high level of product safety for our customers.
■We are in close contact with the suppliers of our chemistry and prepared material (e.g. manufacturing supplies for production, treatment and processing of own products or for use within other operation processes) and will implement the pre-registration and/or subsequent registration of relevant substances in REACH into our supplier qualification process.
■Some of the products, in which brass parts are installed, contain the following materials of the current candidate list in concentrations of more than 0.1 percent by mass:
▲Lead, CAS Number 7439-92-1, EC Number 231-100-4, Danger: ▲Lead is toxic to reproduction according to Art. 57c REACH.Lead is not released during normal use of system components, but may be released in case of improper use or disposal.
