Select SRU1038 and PM104SH Models Bourns® Shielded Power Inductor Core Design Change PRODUCT CHANGE NOTIFICATION

Riverside, California – February 21, 2020 – Bourns is changing the core design of several low inductance power inductor models in the SRU1038 and PM104SH series. The modification of these select models includes a core groove change from a round slot to a rectangular slot to better accommodate larger diameter wire leads and improve production yield rates. A list of affected part numbers is included below.
The form of the inductor will be changed. The fit and function remain unchanged. The reliability and quality of the inductor should be improved by the core redesign.
