WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750 WagoAppBuilding Application note

1 Function Description
1.1 Motivation
The functional range of a sunshade controller can vary depending on project-specific requirements. The macro modules in this application note combine frequently recurring functions and serve as templates for their programming.
The functions of the sunshade controller can be divided into two categories, “segment” and “facade.” A segment is to be understood as the smallest spatial unit. Normally, each segment can be controlled separately by sensors (e.g., manual operation). A facade consists of one or more segments normally controlled together by sensors for structural reasons (e.g., solar radiation). The sunshade actuator processes the incoming segment and facade commands and executes motion commands based on priority.
1.2 Macro Modules
The sunshade macros are based on linking various function blocks from the WagoAppBuilding library. The function blocks are linked to each other to allow control of three facades (south, east and west).
Configuration parameters for the individual function blocks are combined into a common structure in the sunshade macros. This has the advantage that only one placeholder is required for the entire configuration screen in the e!COCKPIT visualization.
For the most part, the macro module interface only consists of variables that are provided by sensor values.
The functional range of the macros is represented in Table 1. The individual functions are then briefly explained.
Sample programs illustrate integration and linking of macro modules with other function blocks and sunshade actuators. The contents of the sample programs are depicted in Table 2.
Weather Protection:
● Protection for the sunshade equipment against damage from wind or frost for all facades
● Wind velocity monitoring: the equipment is moved to the safety position during continuous wind or gusts of wind.
● Frost monitoring: if precipitation falls at low temperatures, the equipment is moved to the safety position. The equipment is only released after defrosting.
Lock Sunshade:
● Each facade can be locked separately.
● Locked facades do not accept motion commands (except Weather Protection).
Maintenance Position:
● A maintenance position is specified for all facades.
● Each facade can be moved to the maintenance position separately.
● The facade is locked when the maintenance position is enabled.
Automatic Sunshade:
● Each facade is controlled separately by the automatic sunshade.
● Moving to an antiglare position in the presence of high brightness
● Moving to a waiting position in the presence of decreasing brightness
● Moving to a park position in the presence of low brightness
Slat Tracking:
● Each facade is controlled separately by the slat tracking.
● Moving to an antiglare position in the presence of high brightness
● Cyclic adjustment of the antiglare position based on the current position of the sun
● Moving to a park position if brightness is low or the position of the sun is non-glaring
Automatic Twilight Control:
● All facades are moved to a twilight position when brightness is very low (twilight).
● When brightness is increasing (sunrise), the facades are moved to a sunrise position.
● The automatic twilight control can be disabled.
Sensor Override:
● All sensor values can be overridden in a facade-dependent way in the visualization.
● The sensor override is automatically reset after 15 minutes at the latest.
