ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM MANUAL
Established on February 1, 1973 Raymond Marlow’s vision was to create a thermoelectric manufacturing company based on world class quality and environmental systems in order to improve product performance and exceed customer expectations. The quality system has been a benchmark for other companies and has separated Marlow Industries from key competitors. Environmental awareness has always played a key role within the company ethics and core values.
Marlow Industries has developed and implemented a documented environmental management system in order to monitor, maintain and continually improve compliance to regulatory requirements. The process also prevents pollution and ensures environmentally friendly manufacturing practices that meet or exceed legal requirements and customer expectations. This environmental system meets or exceeds those goals and complies with the requirements set forth in ISO 14001.
This manual is divided into sections modeled on the organization of the ISO 14001 International Standard.
The purpose of the manual is to define and describe our environmental system by identifying environmental requirements, management’s role and function, and establishing appropriate operating procedures in order to implement a structured system designed to achieve an improved environmental performance.
In December 2004 after 32 years of private ownership by the Marlow family, Marlow Industries was acquired by II-VI Incorporated. Marlow personnel now operate the company as a wholly owned subsidiary of II-VI Incorporated.
