MTA MEC 97, the Smart Modular Electric Center for off-highway applications
Codogno (Lodi), Italy, November 9th, 2022——MTA is a multinational company operating in the global automotive sector through 3 Business Units-Electric, Electronic and Power Electronic showcased during EIMA 2022 (Hall 18 Booth C34) MEC 97, the modular electric center for off-highway applications, interfaced with a CAN Bus plug-in module.
MEC 97 configurable power distribution unit is a plug & play product, developed for engine bay installation and produced with printed circuit board (PCB) logic and press-fit technology. It features a rational design, compact dimensions and allows the integration of all functions in one piece, and has a high level of customization.
The CAN Bus plug-in module allows the connection of MEC 97 to the CAN Bus of the vehicle, a feature more and more requested by OEMs, making it a “Smart modular electric center”. Through CAN Bus, the module can in fact drive the relays and generate the actuations needed, as well as convey diagnostic information.
The CAN Bus Module can be programmed through MTA Studio, a software tool developed by the company that allows even less experienced customers to easily and quickly customize all dashboards, displays, and electronic control units by MTA, both off-the-shelf and custom. This represents a great advantage for those already using some MTA products, allowing them to obtain the best synergies.
