Installing VCP Driver for PID 0xEA63, 0xEA7A, and 0xEA7B on Window 10 version 20H2 or later
For Windows 10 versions older than 20H2, the VCP driver for Silicon Labs CP210x SINGLE-CHIP USB TO DUAL UART BRIDGE with alternate PID values of 0xEA63, 0xEA7A, and 0xEA7B is still automatically downloaded and updated in Windows Update.
However, from Windows 10 version 20H2 or later, the default VCP driver for CP210x with alternate PID values of 0xEA63, 0xEA7A, and 0xEA7B will only be available in Windows Optional Update. To update this VCP driver user need to go to Windows Optional Update and install it manually.
The steps below can be used to manually update this VCP driver for CP210x devices with alternate PID values of 0xEA63, 0xEA7A, and 0xEA7B.
1.Open "Device Manager" right-click on the device -> select "Update Driver".
2. Click on "Search automatically for drivers".
3. Click on "Search for updated drivers on Windows Update".
4. Click on "Check for update" -> View optional update.
5. Select "Silicon Laboratories Inc. - Port - 10.x.xx" and click "Download and install".
