Nisshinbo Micro Devices is proud to unveil the NT1191GEAE3A, a cutting-edge wideband low noise amplifier (LNA) for Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) that enables low current consumption and high performance for multi-band GNSS applications. This latest innovation is specifically designed to meet the increasing demands for high-precision positioning devices.

The NT1191GEAE3A operates across a frequency range of 1164 MHz to 1610 MHz. It has a high gain of 17.5 dB in the L1/L2/L5/L6 bands and a remarkably low noise figure of just 0.75 dB in the same bands. With an operating current of only 5.5 mA and a versatile supply voltage range from 1.5 V to 5.5 V. The LNA also includes a standby function to further reduce power consumption, extending battery life when not in active use. It is designed for a wide range of applications, including GNSS modules, active antennas, car navigation, dashboard cameras, GNSS trackers and so on.

With a wide operating temperature range of -40 to +105 ℃, the NT1191GEAE3A is well-suited for automotive applications, where temperature variations can be significant, it provides robust performance even in the most demanding environments. To ensure robustness and protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD), the LNA incorporates integrated ESD protection on each pin. This feature helps to safeguard the amplifier and maintain its reliability in the presence of ESD events.

This new LNA features a small DFN1616-6-GE package size of just 1.6 × 1.6 mm typ., with a maximum thickness of 0.83 mm. Additionally, it requires only two external components, making it one of the smallest solutions in its class. The package also features wettable flanks to enhance the solderability of the component and facilitates improved automated optical inspection (AOI) of the solder joints. These advantages contribute to the overall reliability and quality of the product.
