1.85mm Series Precision Adapter


The 1.85mm connector is a high-performance connector developed by HP Corporation (now known as Shide Technology) in the mid-1980s. Its outer conductor has an inner diameter of 1.85mm and can reach a maximum frequency of 67GHz (actual operating frequency can even reach 70GHz).

With the continuous development of communication technology, the application of 1.85mm connectors in microwave and millimeter wave frequency bands is becoming more and more widespread, and the demand for adapters is also increasing. Various forms of 1.85mm adapter designs for mutual conversion are gradually being realized.



To ensure good impedance matching and insertion loss performance in the DC~67GHz frequency band, the 1.85mm adapter mainly consists of an outer conductor, an inner conductor, an insulator, and other components. The outer conductor is made of stainless steel material to ensure good conductivity and mechanical strength. The insulator adopts high-performance dielectric materials to meet the insulation requirements in the high-frequency range. The inner conductor is made of beryllium bronze material and treated with gold plating to improve contact reliability and corrosion resistance.
