Geehy Unveils the Enhanced GHD3440Rx Motor Gate Driver, Saving Board Space and Enhancing System Reliability
The Low Dropout Linear Regulator (LDO) stabilizes input voltage to ensure a reliable power source for motor control systems. This stability enhances motor control signal precision, especially in conjunction with gate drivers, supporting high-frequency switching stability in various system designs.
Geehy proudly introduces the GHD3440Rx, an upgraded motor-dedicated gate driver developed to address diverse system requirements. Building on the robust foundation of the GHD3440, the GHD3440Rx integrates a 3.3V/5V LDO and is available in two models: the GHD3440R3 and GHD3440R5. This high level of integration saves board space, reduces hardware costs, and enhances system reliability.
Key Features of the GHD3440Rx
Integrated Design: Simplifies circuit design, saves board space and enables increased flexibility for motor system designs.
Enhanced Stability: Offers strong interference resistance, reduces switching loss, and minimizes heat generation.
Advanced Safety: Includes undervoltage protection, shoot-through prevention, dead-time protection, and over-temperature safeguards.
High Integration | Flexibility and Stability
The GHD3440Rx gate driver's integrated LDO circuit delivers stable, low-noise power from a DC-DC converter to the MCU, boosting drive capability for low-voltage applications. It supports a 60mA load at 15V with an output error of just 2%, maintaining minimal voltage fluctuation under varying loads to improve interference resistance and switching efficiency. Housed in a compact SSOP24 package, the GHD3440Rx conserves PCB space and reduces hardware costs, allowing for more flexible motor system designs.
High Performance | Optimized Motor Efficiency
With an input voltage range of 5V–20V, compatibility with 3.3V/5V logic inputs, and a floating offset voltage of +200V, the GHD3440Rx is well-suited for battery-powered DC brushless motor applications. It supports a peak output current of 0.9A at 15V, achieves a 3.3nF load rise time of 90ns, reaches a peak input current of 1.1A at 15V, and hits a 3.3nF load fall time of 60ns, significantly enhancing switching speed and minimizing switching loss.
High Safety | Comprehensive Protection
The GHD3440Rx features VCC/VBS undervoltage lockout (UVLO) protection, ensuring safe operation by preventing low-voltage power MOSFET activation. It also incorporates shoot-through prevention, a standard 500ns dead-time protection circuit to safeguard high- and low-side MOSFETs, and built-in pull-down resistors for DV/DT noise suppression. Over-temperature protection, with thresholds set at 151℃/131℃, enables stable operation under dynamic loads.
The release of the GHD3440Rx gate driver demonstrates Geehy's commitment to addressing the motor control industry's demand for streamlined circuitry and enhanced system performance. Geehy continues to deliver advanced, reliable, and cost-effective motor control solutions, supported by comprehensive toolchains, multi-scenario demos, and responsive technical assistance, empowering customers to achieve their design goals with a complete development experience.
