Application of Discrete Devices in Electric Shaver
One of the electric products commonly used by men is the electric shaver. Its working principle is to cut the beard by cutting the blade with a motor, usually with a rotary or reciprocating mechanism. Electric shaver is generally composed of power supply system, motor drive system, cutter head and cleaning system. The motor is the core component of the electric shaver. It performs shaving operation by rotating the cutter teeth in the cutter head, and the rotating force of the motor is transmitted to the cutter head to make it rotate or reciprocate at high speed. Different electric shavers may use different motor models and parameters. For example, there are 260, 170, 180, 280 and 350 DC motors, of which 180 and 350 motors are the most common.
Take the common electric shaver scheme in the market as an example. The main control board contains a main control chip, which mainly controls the motor drive, charging management and I/O operation. On the electric shaver, a single lithium battery linear charging protection chip is configured to realize the charging protection function and ensure the charging safety of the battery. Components such as resistors and capacitors can protect and adjust the product, Schottky diodes can rectify the circuit, MOS tubes can adjust the voltage of the motor drive circuit, and bridge stack products can rectify the 220V commercial power. If you have a razor with a screen, you need to configure an LED system and an LED drive circuit.
Razor products are frequently charged, which requires very high charging protection. Take the conventional electric shaver scheme adopted by a customer as an example. The shaver is charged by a capacitor step-down charging circuit, which has the characteristics of very low charging current and is safe and reliable.

This circuit adopts MB10S bridge reactor product, which has the ability of low back pressure leakage current, low forward voltage drop and high forward surge current. The strong reverse withstand voltage of 1000V is very safe and reliable when applied to shavers. Its working principle is as follows: 220V power is stepped down by capacitor and rectified by rectifier bridge stack to output direct current below 5V (different products have different output values). Under the limitation of zener diode, the output voltage is guaranteed not to exceed the maximum load, which protects the circuit. The battery is charged after capacitor filtering, and the choice of step-down capacitor is related to the charging current required by the battery.
In this circuit application, the choice of voltage stabilizer and bridge stack is very important. The voltage withstand value, current selection and packaging form of MB10S bridge stack and voltage stabilizer should be determined according to the product scheme.
The quality of electric shaver is related to shaving speed, shaving comfort, noise and vibration, safety and stability, charging and battery life, etc. The requirements for components and products must meet the requirements of high frequency, low noise and stability.
