Kendeil is proud to announce the development of a new electrolytic modular solution at 85°C and 105°C, that will finally break the wall of super-high voltage & high capacitance value electrolytic caps.

Our new modular solution will combine the high energy density per unit volume, that is the main feature of electrolytic capacitors, with the high rated voltage of film caps


Our solution is designed to be directly assembled with two/three levels IGBT power modules thanks to the central point (middle voltage) connection. 


Kendeil performed a study, involving thermal and CFD analysis in order to define the shape of the enclosure, selecting a new innovative techno-polymer to maximize the heat exchange. This material has excellent thermal conductivity, to help the heat transfer from the hot spot to the external ambient and at same time keeps really good electrical insulation characteristics with a dielectric strength up to 20KV/mm.


The excellent self-extinguishing properties of this material, combined with its UL-94 certification, enable us to release a high performing product. 


The flat bottom surface of the module, equipped with fixing holes, it’s intended to help the assembly on an heatsink, thus achieving extremely high ripple current capabilities up to 200Arms with forced air cooling.


Applications: Designed for high-power industrial applications such as inverters, high speed motor drives, high current buck/boost converters, high voltage DC/DC systems. Stand-alone solution to achieve maximum flexibilities for all high-power projects. Extremely high energy density in a miniaturized solution (30x11x11cm).


Main features: High Voltage (up to 1200V) at high capacitance values (up to 14000μF). Ripple currents up to 200Arms. Safety: UL-94 techno-polymer enclosure to ensure self-extinguishment of the product and to avoid accidental electrolyte leakages in case of failures. Full insulated frame up to 10000Vac. High resistance against mechanical vibrations.
