The BLE module BLE5201 of G-NiceRF adopts Silicon Labs EFR32BG22C224 SOC chip, which is characterized by low power consumption, small size, long transmission distance and strong anti-interference ability. It is mainly used in Bluetooth mesh low-power nodes, intelligent door locks, personal medical care and fitness equipment. How far is the communication distance of BLE module BLE5201? Here is a field test by G-NiceRF.

BLE module default connection parameter settings:

BLE module mininum connection interval: 7.5ms

maxnum connection interval: 7.5ms

number of slave latency: 0

supervision timeout of the link: 5s

 

BLE module BLE5201 communication distance field test process

Test weather: sunny to cloudy 25℃

The test is conducted on the auxiliary road of Guangzhou Shenzhen highway.

Power on the BLE module BLE5201①, see picture below.

(The blue light is the receiving indicator for test, which will light up when there is induction with the opposite end)

 

Test distance 150m: two BLE modules BLE5201 are 150m apart. Turn on the power. Observe that the connection indicators (blue light in the figure) of BLE5201① and BLE5201② are on, indicating that the two modules have successfully established Bluetooth connection and can send and receive data.

It can be seen from the above figure that the connection indicators of the two BLE modules BLE5201 are on, indicating that the two Bluetooth modules have been connected and can send and receive data, and the communication distance is 150m. The test is successful.
