Transistor 8050 is a very common type of NPN transistor. It is often seen in various amplifier circuits. It has a wide range of applications and is mainly used for high-frequency amplification. It can also be used as a switching circuit. This article mainly to understand the difference between s8050 triode and ss8050 triode.

Transistor pin identification method:

(a) Determine the base. Measure the forward and reverse resistance values between each of the three electrodes of the tube with the multimeter's ohm file 100 or ohm file 1k stop. When the first table pen is used to pen a certain electrode, and the second table pen is in contact with the other two electrodes to measure the low resistance value, the electrode to which the first pen is connected is the base b. At this time, pay attention to the polarity of the multimeter pen, if the red pen is connected to the base b. When the black pens are respectively connected to the other two poles, the measured resistance is small, then the tested pipe can be judged as a PNP type triode; if the black pen is connected to the base b, the red pens are in contact with the other two poles, respectively. If the resistance is large, the triode to be tested is an NPN tube such as 8050, 9014, and 9018.

(b) Judging triode collector c and emitter e. (take PNP type triode for example) Place the multimeter in the Ohm file 100 or Ohm file 1K block, the red probe c of the red lead, when the black pen touches two other pins separately, the measured two resistance values will be a Larger, smaller. In a small resistance measurement, the black probe leads to the base; in a large resistance measurement, the black probe leads to the emitter.

The S8050 is a low-power NPN silicon tube with a collector-base (Vcbo) voltage of up to 40V and a collector current of (Ic) 0.5A. The S8050 is one of the most commonly used semiconductor triode models for circuit hardware design.

The difference between s8050 triode and ss8050 triode

S8050 Power Consumption (Pcm): 0.625W (Tamb=25℃)

Collector Current (Icm): 0.5A SS8050

Power Consumption (Pcm): 1W (Tamb=25℃)
