The Selection of Miniature Fuses
Miniature fuses are primarily used in digital cameras, laptops, mobile phones, and other electronic products. From traditional glass tube fuses to miniature fuses, the selection focus varies slightly due to differences in product technology. The selection of miniature fuses involves the following elements:
The normal operating current of the circuit should not eXCeed 75% of the rated current of the fuse.
2. Pulse, pulse current, surge current, starting current, and circuit transient values. micro fuses are particularly concerned about this. Due to technological reasons brought about by small-scale, the impact resistance of miniature fuses is much lower than that of glass tube fuses or other larger fuses with the same rated current.
3. The size of the overload current and the minimum and maximum duration of the overload current in the circuit generally require oscilloscope testing and theoretical calculations to determine the size of the overload current. The basic requirement for fuses is that they should not be interrupted at any time and should be interrupted at an appropriate time.
4. The resistance of micro fuses has a certain impact on certain circuits: if a fuse with excessive internal resistance is installed in certain circuits, it will affect the system parameters of the circuit, making it unable to operate normally;
If SMD fuses have high requirements, they usually use thin film processes with very low internal resistance values, making them suitable for overcurrent protection such as surges. Computer peripherals, communication devices such as mobile phones, digital cameras, monitors, and batteries are commonly used.
Chip fuses are classified and managed according to their performance, and can be divided into several categories: fast fuses, slow fuses, and enhanced melting heat energy.
Patch fuses can be divided into disposable patch fuses and patch self recovery fuses. Disposable patch fuses must be replaced after protection, and self recovery fuses can automatically repair and recycle after power failure. However, what issues should everyone pay attention to when purchasing SMD fuses?
