Manitou Adopts the MTA Giotto and Leonardo Displays on Several of Its Telescopic Handlers for the Construction Market
MTA announces the beginning of the collaboration with Manitou, a leading French player in material handling equipment, who adopts the MTA Giotto and Leonardo displays on several of its telescopic handlers – fixed and rotating – for the construction market.
More in detail, the MRT Vision rotating telehandlers are equipped with the 8”Giotto display, while the MRT Vision+ range uses the 12”Leonardo display. The MHT telehandlers are equipped with the 8”Giotto display, capable of meeting all the requests of each machine.
Giotto and Leonardo are at the top of MTA's offer and they are developed on an Android platform. They are equipped with a TFT multi-touch, anti-fingerprint and anti-glare screen and can be used with the gloves. All these features are mandatory in the environment where they operate, especially the anti-glare one, since the cabin takes light from 4 sides.
Giotto and Leonardo can be used both in portrait and landscape mode and they guarantee high resistance to vibrations and hot temperatures and an IP66 protection degree.
They both feature two video inputs connected to a rear-view camera, necessary to allow the operator a 360° view of the surroundings.
A multipage menu allows for the viewing on multiple screens of several operating parameters, such as the levels of fuel and urea; the temperatures of water and oil; the on-board diagnostics; work and setup pages. The high detailed 3D graphics are modern and attractive and made possible by Android Studio.
The use of Speedy Creator, the software tool developed by MTA which extends the standard functionalities of Android, has allowed for the development of a very important Application for the operators that shows in real time some parameters related to the stability of the machines.
